Working in the creative industry for 13+ years is a journey in and of itself. I've learnt that design (and its processes) can be uniquely hands-on, at times messy, out of the box or even cheap & nasty… It all comes down to how to effectively designers can collaborate with others to achieve a successful outcome.
Working in various businesses structures – from advertising agencies and brand side to startups in tech – has provided me with skills that lie heavily in UI design & governance, UX research practices as well as stakeholder and team management.
I am well versed in platforms such as Figma, Dovetail, the Adobe CC Suite & Supernova, and with the digital landscape always ever-changing, I personally enjoy the challenge of learning new design practices, trends and applications. It has always excited me how we can integrate with technology, and the effects that has on how we as designers look to solve problems.
Fun Fact: When I'm not staring at pixels, my other passions are music, snowboarding/skateboarding and watching the EPL (English football). I also used to play in a few bands, and one of those bands had a song that went viral/No.1 in South Korea, as it was picked up for a local drama they aired there.
A new product offering for brands & retailers to build branded product pages on a retailers website within 2 weeks, and containing up to 100 products.
A website re-design for an ethical and sustainably-made fashion brand, that helped see revenue grow by 800% during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Design direction and UI/UX support on the first online booking/sales platform for NRMA Batteries. Optimising the order forms to have a mobile first and user-centred approach in its design.
